Introduction
My name is Anson Crider, and I live in Guatemala as a VS guy with my family. A friend of mine told me that he would like to hear more about daily life in Guatemala, and so here we are. My current plan is post once a week on Saturdays.
I am 18 years old and come first in the line-up of 8 children—which, in my opinion, is the best place to be in a sibling line-up. I will include a picture of my family below.
Since this is my first post, and an introductory one at that, I will keep it fairly short. In the future, I hope to include more details.
So what’s been happening recently? Monday, the 26th of May, was an anticipated day for our family. Because—visitors! My mom’s brother, Byron, and her cousin, Glenda, came to see us and, in Glenda’s case, to spoil us by bringing a whole bunch of candy, #circuspeanuts. They plan to stay two weeks and one week, respectively.
Uncle Byron has been hauled around all over the place. (Although some of the time he did the hauling himself.) From the Farm to work on the new church building, to Mixcolojá and San Bartolomé for a short visit, and to various and sundry hardware stores he went. If nothing else, he’ll remember Guatemalan driving! Or perhaps not. He didn’t seem to be much fazed.
Anyway, until next week!
